Walden Lake is a planned development (PD),
with over 2200 homes built around the privately-owned Walden Lake Country Club. Golf fairways provided both scenic views and stormwater drainage for neighboring homes. Our community has been in decline for over 25 years, tracking the failure of the Country Club. SWL has produced a strategic plan to halt our community’s decline and turn things around for a better future. Adoption of this plan by the WLCA is a priority goal, since only the WLCA has the resources to restore Walden Lake to greatness.
Save Walden Lake has been, and will continue to be active in fighting foreseeable major threats to Walden Lake:
- Ruinous rezoning of the former golf-course property
- Lack of a Master Stormwater Management Plan
- WLCA Board of Directors Mismanagement
