SOME OBSERVATIONS:
1. OUR SLIM 4-3 VICTORY AT THE 2023 PLANNING BOARD HEARING WAS A RESULT OF MOTION WORDING ONLY. HAD "INCONSISTENT AS A WHOLE" BEEN REPLACED WITH SIMPLY "INCONSISTENT" WITH THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, THE VOTE WOULD HAVE BEEN OVERWHELMINGLY IN OUR FAVOR.
2. THE FOLLOW UP LETTER TO THE COMMISSION INDICATES THAT THE CITY IS NOT INTIMIDATED BY THREATS OF A LAWSUIT - NUMEROUS FAILURES TO MEET CITY REQUIREMENTS ARE DETAILED.
3. DESPITE BEING IN A VERY BAD POSITION, WLLLC WILL NOT GIVE UP - TOO DEEPLY INVESTED.

OVER 600 RESIDENT HOUSEHOLDS HAVE SIGNED OUR PETITION TO THE CITY
We the undersigned residents of Walden Lake are opposed to City approval of WL-LLC’s rezoning application - a design that threatens our community with foreseeable devastating impacts during all phases of development. We bought houses in a thoughtfully-planned community with implied rights to greenspace, privacy, and other mature-neighborhood metrics. We have lost Country Club amenities, and there is little we can do about that at this time. We can, however, defend our quality of life and home values by opposing WL-LLC’s residential-infill development plans. Our implied-rights trump their opportunistic gamble- this rezoning must be rejected by the City of Plant City.
